Promoting architects as starchitects is over. The coming decades should be about bringing the architects down to earth and in direct personal contact with the people and communities which they build for. Join the discussion at this talk at the UIA Congress.

In a partnership with the Association of Architecture Organizations, the Danish Architecture Center will explore how architecture museums, institutions and organizations can work as platforms for bringing citizens and decisionmakers together with architects, planners, and designers.

The purpose is to globally escalate public empowerment through awareness and understanding of the value that architects, planners and designers can create together with people, communities, and local and national governments. In particular, the session will focus on how architecture organizations around the world can become a strong platform for staging public debates about how architecture can change the world with a special emphasis on the transition to a more sustainable and future-fit built environment.
