DACs 40th birthday

Hooray—DAC is turning 40! We’re celebrating with free admission, birthday cake, special tours led by DAC staff, drinks, a family workshop, and AfterDAC—a talk with Peter Mygind!

Maybe we’ve been best friends for years. Maybe you’ve just been checking us out from a distance. Either way, you’re invited to our 40th birthday celebration on March 26!

Cake, choir singing, and meet the staff

There will be cake for the first guests and live choir singing. You can also meet some of the people who usually work behind the scenes upstairs—the executive assistant, the finance coordinator, the exhibition architect, and more. For this special occasion, they’ll share stories about their work, their favorite buildings, and their favorite spots in DAC. They might even tell a tall tale or two from everyday life in BLOX.

Balloons and flags for kids

You can also bring the kids to the Family Workshop. Everyone can join in as we design our very own birthday flags. In the afternoon, the Balloon King will visit, twisting balloons and asking for your help to build the Round Tower out of balloons!

Meet Peter Mygind and enjoy a drink

We’ll round off the day with an AfterDAC talk. Host Ane Cortzen will speak with Peter Mygind and architect Ebbe Lavsen about community and the love of the buildings we already have.

All day long, we’re offering a free drink to all dining guests in the DAC Café.
