In a thought-provoking and visually striking mix of close-ups, architecture, and captivating compositions, the film offers insight into the processes and reflections that shape the work of star architect Rem Koolhaas.

Over a period of three years, Tomas Koolhaas followed his father around the world, getting close to the architect’s intelligent and complex mind. The film is an aesthetic tribute from a son to his father. DAC is screening REM in connection with our current exhibition What the BLOX, which explores the making of the BLOX building. In the exhibition, you can gain deeper insight into the ideas Rem Koolhaas had about the design of BLOX.
