BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group

Spring/Summer 2019

Denmark’s very own starchitect Bjarke Ingels and his company BIG are world famous for their playful, experimental and innovative architecture. Next summer we’ll fill up the entire DAC with the biggest BIG exhibition ever – installations, models, films, prototypes and everything that inspires BIG to constantly break the barriers of what architecture can be.

In Spring 2019, we open the doors to one of the greatest Danish architects of our time: Dorte Mandrup. In a tactile and seductive universe, you’ll be introduced to Dorte Mandrup’s amazing architecture by the Wadden Sea in Denmark and the Ilulissat Icefjord in Greenland – both featured on the prestigious list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Experience how architecture is shaped by unique natural landscapes.

The Danish submission to the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia presents a Danish approach to innovation through four projects selected by curator Natalie Mossin.

Our Urban Living Room

23rd of August 2018 – 30th of November 2018
Location: Helsinki

The exhibition Our Urban Living Room invites visitors to experience the architecture of the influential Copenhagen-based architecture studio COBE. COBE is behind projects such as Nørreport Station, The Silo and Copenhagen’s Northern Harbor. In 2016, the exhibition was on display at DAC and received great reviews. You can now experience it at Laituri in Helsinki.
