Join the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) in exploring Ørestad, a local neighborhood with some of the most talked-about and Instagrammed buildings in Scandinavia. Discover how these contemporary buildings reflect Denmark’s cultural values to design with nature and share common spaces. Our DAC guides share the design stories behind this remarkable collection of new residential buildings, daycare centers, schools, and an arena – with more under construction.

Here you’ll learn about the future of sustainable buildings that creatively recycle and upcycle materials. We’ll also see BIG’s innovative 8 House – surprisingly built within sight of beautiful fields of grazing cows – which claimed the prize for Housing Building of the Year by the World Architecture Festival.

Our tour begins outside Ørestad Metro Station, at Kay Fiskers Plads. From there we’ll walk south, exploring the highlights of Ørestad.
