Tivoli Concert Hall

This transparent, three-story circular pavilion contains a lounge, bar and outdoor café, and serves as the new main entrance to the Tivoli Concert Hall.

In keeping with the “Tivoli spirit,” white-lacquered, twisted aluminum strings create a joyful facade that catches and reflects the sun during the day and the park’s many lamps at night.

When the Tivoli Concert Hall was built in 1956, it was the largest and most modern concert hall in the Nordics. This careful restoration includes acoustics, stage, orchestra facilities, and new seating, as well as access for the disabled.

A former gaming space below the Concert Hall has been transformed into a new lobby with a spectacular 30-meter “Coral Reef” aquarium as its main attraction and light source.

A new building facing the street contains a large day-lit rehearsal hall for Tivoli’s Symphony Orchestra, a ground-floor restaurant, and a conference center, overlooking the Tivoli gardens above the rehearsal hall.

3XN won the competition for the new addition and renovation in partnership with Birch & Krogboe and NCC.
