Guided Tour of BLOX in Copenhagen: Behind the Architecture

On this guided tour, you’re invited behind the scenes to explore the ideas, ambitions, and decisions that shaped one of Copenhagen’s most talked-about buildings. Why does BLOX look the way it does? As we move through BLOX, we explore a city in transition. You’ll gain insight into why the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) is located here, in a building designed by renowned Dutch architecture studio OMA, founded by Rem Koolhaas, and how BLOX connects to the harbor and Bryghuspladsen. We explore how architecture, infrastructure, and everyday life intersect in this unique space, where culture, work, living, and leisure exist side by side. Along the way, you’ll discover what once stood here, and how BLOX shapes the area today. BLOX is designed to spark curiosity and conversation. • We meet in the lobby by the DAC ticket office, under the red hanging sign. Come by at least 10 minutes early. We head off right on time.
