What is the Danish Architecture Center (DAC)?
Danish Architecture Center (DAC) is Denmark's national center for architecture. Through changing exhibitions, events and talks, we explore how architecture and design shape our everyday lives and our cities. DAC is located in BLOX on Copenhagen's waterfront. Read more: About DAC
What is the difference between DAC and BLOX?
BLOX is the building; DAC is the museum and national center for architecture housed inside it. Besides DAC, BLOX also contains apartments, offices, a restaurant and a fitness center. When you visit the exhibitions, you are visiting DAC. Read more: About DAC
What can you experience at DAC?
Changing exhibitions on architecture, cities and design, plus Denmark's national gallery of architecture, tracing the story from the Viking Age to today. You'll also find the Educatorium children's universe, the DAC Slide art installation, a design shop and a café with a rooftop terrace overlooking the harbour. Read more: Exhibitions
How long should I plan for a visit?
Most visitors spend about one and a half to two hours in the exhibitions — and you can easily stay longer with the café, shop and rooftop terrace. Read more: Plan your visit
How much does it cost to visit DAC?
Adults DKK 135. Young people (18-27) and students DKK 60. Children under 18: free. Read more: Opening hours & admission
What are your opening hours?
Every day 10 am-6 pm. Monday, Thursday and Friday 10 am-9 pm. (See also closing days.) Read more: Opening hours & admission
What's the easiest way to get to DAC by metro?
Take the M3 to Gammel Strand or Rådhuspladsen — from there it's about a 10-minute walk. Read more: Find your way
Can I park at BLOX?
Yes, you can park in the BLOX car park (entrance from Vester Voldgade 129). Read more: Arrival
Is there an elevator and an accessible toilet?
Yes — the building has elevators and accessible toilets, and you can borrow a wheelchair during your visit. Read more: Accessibility at DAC
May I bring my dog?
No, pets are not allowed. Guide dogs are welcome. Read more: Plan your visit
Can I visit the shop without a ticket?
Yes, the DAC Design Shop is always open without a ticket during DAC's opening hours. Read more: DAC Design Shop
How do we visit with a school class?
