International Talk: Reinier de Graaf

Join Dutch architect, writer and OMA partner Reinier de Graaf for a provocative conversation about the future of architecture, the profession's blind spots, and the forces shaping the built environment today. What is actually brewing in the world of architecture today?
As cities expand, crises intensify and artificial intelligence enters the design process, architects are being forced to rethink their role in society. Who does architecture really serve? Which commissions should architects refuse? And what happens to the discipline when technology, politics and economics increasingly set the agenda?
In this AfterDAC International Talk, Danish Architecture Center CEO Kent Martinussen joins Reinier de Graaf for a conversation inspired by his latest manifesto, Architecture Against Architecture. Together, they will explore the tensions, contradictions and power structures shaping world of architecture today, and ask what the future of the profession might look like. Expect an evening of sharp insights, critical reflection and thought-provoking discussion about architecture's role in a rapidly changing world.
About Reinier de Graaf
Reinier de Graaf is a Dutch architect, writer and partner at OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture), one of the world's most influential architectural practices. He is also co-founder of OMA's think tank, AMO. Known for his incisive writing and critical perspective on the profession, De Graaf explores the relationship between architecture, power, politics and economics. He is the author of Four Walls and a Roof, architect, verb. and The Masterplan.
