Little Culture Night

Come to Little Culture Night at the Danish Architecture Center, where we invite families to a wide range of nature-inspired activities for the youngest visitors.

Time

Are your children too young for Culture Night? Then bring them to Little Culture Night instead – an earlier, calmer version with a program made up entirely of activities for children.

Join a sensory, child-friendly guided tour of the Age of Nature exhibition, build a clay home for earthworms, or taste mushrooms. Outside on Bryghuspladsen, we’ll have fire pits where you can roast marshmallows!

Taste Mushrooms

Coral mushrooms, lion’s mane – the world of fungi is rich and fascinating. And they can be grown right in the city and even at home in an apartment. Come test your culinary courage by tasting mushrooms and learning more about them together with the DAC café and Funga Farm. After the tasting, you can purchase a children’s dinner featuring beignet-fried coral mushrooms, oven-baked potatoes, and yogurt dip (65 kr.) for the evening meal.

Build a Clay Home for Earthworms – Workshop

Come join us as we build small, sustainable clay homes for earthworms. Inspired by the Age of Nature exhibition, we’ll shape houses that earthworms can live in once they’re buried in the ground or used as compost. Earthworms are superheroes of the soil – they make it soft and full of life, helping plants grow and animals thrive. Let’s create a great place for them to live together.

Guided Tour for Children

Join a sensory and exploratory guided tour for children in the Age of Nature exhibition. Experience trees on artificial life support, mushrooms grown in towers, and facades that provide homes for birds and insects.

Secret Architecture Hunt

With a UV flashlight in hand, you can search for questions and secret messages about nature throughout the Age of Nature exhibition. A cozy and fun activity for the whole family.
