Today, design is not only about beautiful objects. It can also be a company’s business model or even the design of our society through design. However, a deep respect for materials and other beings is familiar to all of them, and this respect extends across design categories and solutions.

In 2024 seven Danish Design Award winners showed how to create positive change in the world through design. All submitted proposals had been assessed based on the award’s five design values: Do no harm, Pursue beauty, Lead the way, Prove your impact, and Solve problems worth solving. The five values point to design solutions as a matter of ethics and craftsmanship and show that the award also pays tribute to the design solutions that make a proven difference to our behavior, society, and everyday life.
