Dreyer’s Architecture Gallery 2016: STED, Norrøn and Johansen Skovsted at DAC

Exhibition

Sep 16, 2016 - Jan 22, 2017

Dreyer’s Architecture Gallery 2016 was a new exhibition space created by Dreyer’s Foundation and DAC, featuring three individual exhibitions by STED, Norrøn and Johansen Skovsted Arkitekter. It offered a unique peek into the day-to-day reality of the three young architectural firms.

In this exhibition, The Dreyer Foundation and the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) collaborated to create a new exhibition space at DAC. It presented the next wave of Danish architecture, described and disseminated by a number of talented, trend-setting young Danish architectural firms.

An exhibition of emerging danish architecture

In a series of three individual exhibitions, we encountered three newly established architectural firms: Sted, Norrøn and Johansen Skovsted Arkitekter. All three are representatives of emerging Danish architecture, and all have received a Dreyer Foundation grant for strengthening the business potential of newly established architectural firms.

The three architectural firms

The exhibition ‘Dreyer’s Architecture Gallery’ provided visitors with a unique peek into the day-to-day reality of the three architectural firms, where everything is fast-paced and multi-faceted, and where creativity and business sense go hand in hand.

The exhibition was part of the Dreyer Foundation’s special focus on newly established architectural firms. All the architectural firms exhibited in the Gallery have attended a professionalising series of workshops to enhance their business potential.

The ambition of the Dreyer Foundation was to create an exhibition space, in which newly established architectural firms could present their work to the outside world, thereby gaining a voice in the debate on new Danish architecture and its contribution to the evolution of society.
