Free Admission to DAC During Day One Festival
Are you a new student in Copenhagen? During the Day One Festival, you can visit DAC for free and get to know your new city through Danish architecture, design, and urban life.
Every year, around 18,000 new students move to Copenhagen. Day One is the city's official welcome festival, where museums, cultural centers, and other cultural institutions invite new students to enjoy free experiences across the city.
As part of the festival, you can visit DAC free of charge on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with your Day One wristband. Explore So Danish!, where you'll discover the icons of Danish architecture and design while gaining fresh perspectives on the city you'll soon call home. You can also experience our current exhibition, Age of Nature, which explores how architecture and nature can work together to shape the sustainable cities of the future.
When you're ready for a break, relax with a cold drink and enjoy panoramic views of Copenhagen at DAC Rooftop Cafe.
Practical Information
Free admission is available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for everyone with a valid Day One wristband. Simply show your wristband at the entrance to access DAC's exhibitions.
Did You Know?
Are you between 18 and 27 years old? Then you get Free Admission to DAC every Friday from 16:00–21:00 all year long.
Stop by after class to explore architecture, design, and new perspectives in our exhibitions. Afterward, head up to DAC Rooftop, where guests under 27 can buy bottled beer for DKK 25, and students receive 10% off food with a valid Student ID.
That means you can always come back to discover new exhibitions – even after Day One.

On Culture Night, experience the interactive light installation City Life City Light at Bryghuspladsen, right outside the entrance to DAC.

Join us for Culture Night and gather around the cozy fire pits at Bryghuspladsen in front of Danish Architecture Center.
Silent Disco
Come dance the night away at DAC’s Silent Disco on the rooftop, with views across the city’s rooftops and Copenhagen harbor. If it rains or gets too windy, we’ll move inside and keep dancing.
