Little Architects Build Houses
Little Architects Build Houses is a learning programme at the Danish Architecture Center for kindergartens, where children play with architecture, colours, and shapes—and build their own creative houses.
Shall we play architecture? Become little architects for a day and build houses at DAC.

Bring the children to a fun, creative building activity at the Danish Architecture Center. Together with a DAC educator, you’ll explore architecture’s shapes, colours, and scale—all at the children’s level. In Little Architects Build Houses, you become architects for a day, as the children use their senses and curiosity to discover the architecture around them.
With the book The Architect and the Yellow Cat as your guide, you’ll play with colours and find geometric shapes at DAC—before getting tools in hand and building big and small creative houses of your own. The programme ends with a mini exhibition, where the children present their houses.
The building activity at DAC is both educational and full of play—a sensory experience that brings architecture up close for children.
