Little Architects on Tour
Little Architects on Tour is a playful city walk for kindergartens at the Danish Architecture Center, where children explore architecture, colours, shapes, and materials using all their senses.
Shall we play architecture? Come and become little architects for a day as we explore architecture on a city walk near DAC!
Bring the children on a playful, sensory walk in the area around the Danish Architecture Center. Together with a DAC educator, you’ll explore the city’s shapes, colours, scale, and materials—all at the children’s level. In Little Architects on Tour, you become architects for a day, as the children use their senses and curiosity to discover the architecture around them.
With the book The Architect and the Yellow Cat as your guide, you’ll measure buildings with your own bodies, feel different materials, find geometric shapes, and explore how colours create atmosphere and shape the city’s spaces.
The city walk is both educational and full of play—a sensory experience that brings architecture up close for children.
For daycare groups: Practical details
Location: The walk starts and ends at the Danish Architecture Center and is a short city walk in the surrounding area. The entire programme takes place outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
Duration: 1.5 hours
