How does the city shape the way we live together?

In the exhibition The City, we explore the city at a human scale. Students investigate how streets, squares and meeting places influence our everyday lives. What makes a place somewhere you want to stay? When do we feel safe, welcome and part of a community?

Through sensory experiences and examples from cities around the world, students gain insight into how public spaces can support wellbeing, encounters between people and shared urban life. Along the way, they reflect on their own experiences of the city and explore how urban spaces shape the way we move, meet and live together.

This programme is particularly relevant for those working with architecture, urban development, society, community, health and sustainable cities.
