Winter
Winter break in Copenhagen with kids? Visit DAC in BLOX for creative family activities, carnival fun and indoor architecture experiences – the perfect thing to do in the winter holiday.

During both week 7 and week 8 (February 10th to 25th) you can enjoy an exciting program. Explore our Age of Nature exhibition, which shows how nature, people, and animals can work together to create a more sustainable future. You can also dive into the evolution of architectural history – from the Viking Age all the way to today – in our So Danish! exhibition.
Program for kids and adults
Play LEGO® Architect for a Day in a World of Nature
The Hall transforms into a green construction site where we’ll build cities where nature and people live side by side. Build away, snap a photo of your creation, receive a diploma, and display your work in our LEGO® gallery. Younger children can build with DUPLO. Read more. Open every day during Week 7 from 10:00 to 17:00.
LEGO® Night: Build and chill for adults
Join our drop-in session as we transform the Hall into a LEGO® playground for adults. Stop by whenever it suits you – and stay as long as you like. Read more. Open Monday, Thursday, and Friday during Week 7 from 17:00-20:30.
Family Workshop
Open every day during Week 7 & 8 from 10:00 to 17:00:
Build for the Island - With Space for Animals, People, and Nature
Have you explored the exhibition Age of Nature? In the installation Amsterdam Allegories, you’ll see 21 small islands. Together, they form one large, shared island of the future with room for nature, people, and animals. In the workshop, you can help build it using matchsticks and create your own contribution to the shared island.
Make Carnival Masks
What wild animal would you like to be for Carnival? Maybe a fox, a bat, or a butterfly? You can create your very own mask and get ready for the celebration!
Build Forts
Team up to build large forts out of cardboard! Use cardboard for walls and screws to hold everything together. Pillows and imagination are more than welcome to make your fort extra cozy.
Participation is free with paid admission. Children enter for free but must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required - just show up!
