Damhussøen – a delightful weekend winter walk

One delightful thing to do in winter is to walk around the Damhussøen lake, which is near where I live. There is a path that runs all the way around, and there is always someone on it. On a winter Saturday or Sunday, when the sun is out and it’s not too windy, after a couple of weeks of storms and sleet, people are longing to go on a walk outdoors. Days like that are a joy to experience, when all the life of the inner city seems to move out to places like Damhussøen, Frederiksberg Gardens and other places that are great for a ramble. When that day arrives, you want to find a nice place with a few trees, a bit of ice on the lake, birdsong and sunshine.
