Design Festival

June 7 – 9,  2023

Architecture and design shape the framework of our lives, from the smallest detail to the grandest planning. As part of this year’s major design event, 3daysofdesign, the Danish Architecture Center focuses on Danish design across scales.

Join us as we celebrate the intersection of design and architecture during the design festival, 3daysofdesign. Under the theme ‘Where will we be without you,’ this year’s 3daysofdesign zooms in on how everyone in the design industry needs each other, spanning across designers, manufacturers, retailers, and customers.

Through exhibitions, pop-up events, and guided tours, we will tell you the story of the Danish tradition of integrating space and objects. Experience, for example, the story of Arne Jacobsen’s ability to design everything from teaspoons and up in the Gesamtkunstwerk that is the SAS Royal Hotel.

Experiences during the festival

What a Waste

What a Waste is an exhibition that focuses on solving one of the world’s most complex problems: waste from industry and overproduction of virgin materials.

The exhibition will present solutions created by companies that use New Waste from industry in their supply chain instead of virgin materials.

Radical Design

Architects work to shape our world, but some ideas and strokes are more radical than others. Experience Danish design of the highest caliber in our permanent exhibition, So Danish!, featuring internationally acclaimed super architects such as Arne Jacobsen, Poul Henningsen, and more.
