Copenhagen in Common

In 2023, Copenhagen is appointed to be World Capital of Architecture by UNESCO. In Denmark, we have a strong tradition of thinking in terms of communities and citizen involvement in architecture. Active, well-planned urban spaces become outdoor living rooms and often act as glue for the social cohesion of a district.

So Danish!

The exhibition unfolds the history of Danish architecture from the Viking Age to present day and gives you the opportunity to travel into the architecture and understand how absolutely central it is to our democratic society.

Tales of the City

Listen and experience urban tales in the company of author and social pundit Knud Romer and WERK studio. In this exhibition, WERK has put architectural works in the hands of Knud Romer, who considers the works from a wider perspective and asks us why we don’t turn the tables and live the way we actually want to.
