Easter at the Danish Architecture Center is packed with a wide range of fun activities and exciting exhibitions for both kids and adults.
Discover our brand-new exhibition – Recycle! – which shows how beauty and recycling go hand in hand to create a more sustainable future. You can also explore the history of architecture from the Viking Age all the way to today in our exhibition So Danish! Bringing kids along? Join in on fun activities like our LEGO workshop in the Hall.
LEGO® Architect for a Day
12. – 21. april
Are you Denmark’s next sustainable architectural designer? Or do you have a good idea for a communal urban space? Come and join us as we bring these great ideas to life in LEGO®.
Make Easter decorations
18. and 20. april
If you’re into traditional Easter decorations, stop by Bryghuspladsen in front of BLOX on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Here, you can paint eggs, cut out Easter bunnies, and make classic Danish “gækkebreve”. There will also be colorful face painting and goodie bags for participating kids.

Explore Nanna Ditzel’s groundbreaking designs centered on freedom and movement. The exhibition presents some of Ditzel’s most iconic designs. Designs that challenge our ideas of traditional furniture and let us discover new ways of experiencing the body and spending time together.

Denmark’s national gallery of architecture
Experience Danish Architecture Center’s national gallery for Danish architecture. The exhibition unfolds the history of Danish architecture from the Viking Age to the present day, offering you the opportunity to delve into architecture and understand how crucial it is to our democratic society.

The City Map
Start your exploration of Copenhagen’s architecture on the floor just beneath BLOX. Here, you can walk around on a gigantic aerial photo of the city and get a complete overview. At the same time, it gives you the feeling of being a giant, stomping around – high above the city.
DAC Slide
Are you adventurous enough to try the fastest and wildest art installation in Copenhagen? Challenge your senses on a unique 40-meter, 4-story spiral slide.
DIY for kids
Be creative with architecture at home

Design Shop and Café
DAC Design Shop
Get into the Easter spirit at DAC Design Shop with luxurious Easter eggs and delightful designs in shades of yellow. Here, you’ll find everything from colorful costumes, LEGO® and drawing supplies to ceramics, cards, and jewelry in contemporary Danish design. The shop has been expanded with nearly 100 inspiring square meters, providing a diverse selection for anyone seeking some extra Easter enjoyment. As something new, you can also enjoy an ice cream in the spring weather.
DAC Café
Celebrate the arrival of spring with a delicious chocolate Easter egg in our café. Here, you can also enjoy a cup of coffee on one of our rooftop terraces with a spectacular view of Copenhagen’s harbor.

Public tours every Sunday at 11 am
Try the playground in front of BLOX or embark on one of DACs guided city tours. For example, explore Copenhagen: World Capital of Architecture and get insight into why this honor has been bestowed upon Copenhagen.
