We are thrilled to invite you to our housewarming party for the new BLOX on 6 May. Next day, 7 May, will see the official opening of the new DAC premises in a tie-in with the launch of the Welcome Home exhibition, celebrating everyman’s expertise: Our home.

Inside BLOX, we will serve as an international venue devoted to architecture, design and urban culture – in the heart of Copenhagen. Housed in an iconic building designed as a city in itself. Created by the world-renowned Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) fronted by Rem Koolhaas and Ellen Van Loon, BLOX is the Dutch architectural firm’s first-ever building designed specifically for a national centre for architecture.

We look forward to inviting you to view world-class exhibitions on every scale – and to explore architecture and urban culture ‘live’ in our Scandinavian capital. We will be offering guided tours to experience Copenhagen’s architecture in its natural environs – where it is most relevant and spectacular. In addition, we will be hosting events, talks and workshops on architecture and urban planning. DAC in BLOX will be a hub for networking and innovation across the building sector.

With the new DAC housed in BLOX we will be homing in on architecture on a wide front – from landmark concert halls to new youth housing. But architecture is much more than the sum of its individual buildings; it is also the life lived between buildings and part of the infrastructure that sustains a happy and healthy daily life. It accommodates every one of us because excellent architecture is for the many not the few. This is our passion, and we want to share it with you. We look forward to seeing you at the new DAC in BLOX.
